Underground Undercover Continue Working With Father

When I'm trying to finish the "Underground UnderCover" quest and the prompt says
"Continue working for Father" how and what do I do? The "Battle for Bunker Hill" quest Pops up and father wants to speak. I've done this before but the quest doesn't end like I wanted. I can never get to the next quest after Underground to finish the story with the Railroad ending. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

You just need to stay in the Institutes good graces until a certain even happens later. You CANNOT tell Father to piss off and get kicked out of the Institute when you meet him on the roof of CIT (this is the "Speak to Father" part you reference) at the conclusion of Bunker Hill. It really doesn't matter who you attack/kill at Bunker Hill, and it's actually just a "loot fest", as none of the factions will turn permanently hostile based on this mission. That comes a bit later. But you have to stay on the Institutes side during the chat on the roof of CIT. Even though you will want to kick his ass then, you need to suck it up and stay on his good side.

So go to the battle of the bunker and do I kill him or go to the railroad?

You are needing to go undercover with the institute to continue with the Railroad's plans. So continue pretending to work for the Institute.

I completed the mission powering up and i just finished the meeting but the synth isnt telling me about the flood, and the mission description still tells me to continue working with the father. I would do this however the next mission is to kill desdomona which i obviously do not want to do as i am with the railroad. instead of killing desdomona, i told her that i was ordered to kill her. i was then given a mission to kill some coursers, i completed the mission but the Underground Undercover mission still said work with the father. Icant talk to Desdomona again and my only mission from father is still to kill desdomona. what do i do???

When do I kill the courser when we are by the synths? I'm asking step by step b/c I've done this before and never got the next quest. They start shooting me as we go into the tunnel or the synths don't budge or react like I seen in video. P S 4 dmoet22 G Ta

Wait until you encounter the escaped synths before you kill the courser. Otherwise, there's a chance the whole thing will bug out. If you tell the synths they're free, the courser should turn hostile, and you'll be able to kill him.

So what do I tell Father in the ruins?

Say you were ambushed, and do NOT accept any blame. He won't be happy, but he shouldn't banish you. If you have a low charisma, you may want to stock up on booze and anything else that will increase it.

I'm not sure, but when I talked to him and told him what I did (freed the synths) he banished me from the institute and I failed the railroad quest and got locked from their ending.

Now I have to defuse a situation w/ the minute men. So as long as I don't mess with the railroad I'm good?

Idfk what to do im in the institute too and i try to talk to him all the time and shawn tells me how proud he is. Thats all
